Missing Father Found Dead Wrapped in Plastic and Carpet, Police Say “No Foul Play”

Nathan Millard, a 42-year-old father of five from Covington, Georgia, went missing after a business trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

On the night of February 22, he was seen at Happy’s Irish Pub near his hotel and had been to a college basketball game earlier. His body was found two weeks later, on March 6, wrapped in plastic and carpet by the roadside behind a funeral home six miles away from the pub.

The medical examiner reported no external or internal trauma on the body and no signs of blunt force trauma or gunshot wounds. Police stated there were no indications of foul play and no signs of distress on the surveillance video.

The last sighting of Millard was at 4:30 a.m. on the morning of his disappearance, after he had been cut off from the pub for being overly intoxicated. Later, his phone and wallet were found on the ground some blocks from his hotel.

According to his wife, her last contact with him was when he was at the basketball game. He called her on FaceTime to show her the seats he and his client had. The investigation is still ongoing.
