2008 White House Contender Speaks Out About Terrorism and Terrorist Groups

November 12, 2005 – West Palm Beach, FL – In light of recent events, Daniel Imperato spoke out today against terrorism and terrorist groups. During his address, he pointed out to the roots our global terrorism problems.

“In my opinion our administration has dropped the ball since the Clinton inappropriate obscene acts in the White House, causing a delay in taking action against Al-Qaeda. While Clinton played the blues, Al-Qaeda organized and grew in power and nothing was done because of Al Gore’s presidential run against George W. Bush. The ball was dropped,” stated Imperato.

“Our new administration and George Bush Jr. inherited the 9/11 attacks based upon the first punch thrown by Clinton, a punch with no power behind it. Then, in light of the fact that George Bush didn’t remove Saddam the first time, there was a clear vendetta against Saddam that George Bush Jr. had on his agenda. Obviously the threat of terrorism from the Al –Qaeda organization was rooted in Afghanistan.”

Imperato felt that the job in Afghanistan was never finished and that the focus of our ‘War on Terror’ shifted from Al-Qaeda to the ‘Axis of Evil’ which Imperato said was a clever way to focus on Saddam Hussein.

“Unconditionally our administration did not finish the job on terrorism and immediately linked the threat of terrorism to attack Saddam Hussein and to remove him from power in Iraq. While I believe the removal of Saddam Hussein was necessary, a move that was unconditionally supported by the Middle Eastern countries, it was not executed with the proper intelligence, security measures and an intention to just remove Saddam from power,” expressed Imperato.

Since then, Imperato has suggested that the region is moving towards an Armageddon scenario, pointing to the recent conflicts with Syria, Iran, and the death of the Lebanese Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri.

Imperato believes that organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda are capitalizing on this instability in a collaborative movement.

“This statement I’m making is a warning to the region that this insane attack on the Jordanian and in my opinion is a direct result from the combination and collaboration of terrorist lowlife filth. They have been playing chess and flip flopping on every terrorist attack by each one playing a game and taking responsibility when the fact is that they are all terrorists and they need to be removed from the face of the earth.”

In light of all of the recent turmoil in the region, Imperato called on the Arab League to step up and play a larger role in the region, uniting the countries in the region as well as the US.

“I’m extremely disturbed at our administration for delaying the pinpoint approach on al-Qaeda and further distraught that countries in the Middle East have not taken further measures to rid themselves of these criminals. Its time now that the Arab league step up with the collaboration of all countries in the region, and put down the religious animosity and beliefs of who’s right and who’s wrong under the almighty father’s word.”

Imperato then pointed to the attacks on Amman, Jordan as part of a strategic plan designed to stir up the confusion and animosity amongst the Middle Eastern community.

“This has been done to specifically create civil unrest between the very Middle Eastern societies who are rightfully projecting hatred and cynicism against the terrorists. The entire region and their leaders should come together, step up to the plate, and realize that it should not matter if you are a Christian, a Muslim, a Jew, or of any other religious beliefs. What truly matters is the content of one’s character,” asserted Imperato.

Imperato called on the leaders of the region to stand up against these ‘radical rats’ that have ‘seeped through the pipelines’ and gained access to our way of life. In an attempt to hurt areas that have an American interest, the terrorists, in Imperato’s view, have destroyed areas that are enjoyed by locals, and the entire world.

Imperato then suggested that a joint effort in the Middle Eastern region be formed by “putting together a firm collaborated group of intelligence and military force, utilizing the resources of all the countries in the region to combat and eliminate the spread of civil unrest and hatred amongst the people.”

“You can’t tell me that the combination of force between the world powers and the local Syrian, Iranian, Israeli, Jordanian, Egyptian and Saudi Arabian security organizations cannot snuff out these degenerates. With a country like Israel, who has the most sophisticated intelligence on earth and a military capability second to none, a country like Syria, who has a very powerful army, a government like Saudi Arabia, who has plenty of funds, the resilient Egyptians who have proven to desire peace, and Iran, who has become a global force, we cannot root out these lowlifes.”

Imperato then finished his statement with the following remarks, “I call on the United Nations to forge a program of a special security force with a combination of the region’s capabilities to snuff out and dismantle these organizations. We must learn to respect our neighbor and understand that all human beings are all the same and basically live the same. There is a clear dividing difference between peace and terrorism, not a dividing difference between religion, land, and cultures. It is that difference that doesn’t allow us to accept terrorism in our homes, on our streets, and with our children.”

US Presidential Contender Sends Condolences to Jordanian Royal Family and Citizens

Following today’s shocking terrorist attacks in Amman, Jordan, 2008 US Presidential Contender, Daniel Imperato sent his most sincere condolences to the Jordanian Royal Family and its citizens.

“This is an absolute outrageous and disgusting act that has taken place in the country of Jordan. Obviously, this touches the very hearts and souls of the local people and the rest of the Middle Eastern communities,” stated Imperato.

The three suicide attacks were responsible for killing at least 57 people in Amman. Currently, police have started running DNA tests to try and identify the bombers.

An explosive carrying vehicle blew up outside the Days Inn, while two suicide bombers were responsible for the attacks on the Hyatt Hotel and the Radisson SAS.

“My condolences go out to the affected families, lost friends and loved ones, from this disgusting act. While I will reserve my comments for the moment, in consideration of the suffering people, grieving and experiencing tremendous pain, the comments will come at a later date,” expressed Imperato.

Immediately after the blasts, King Abdullah inspected the sites of the blasts after returning from his visit in Kazakhstan.

“I have such a high respect for King Abdullah and his beautiful wife Queen Rania and give them all my support. King Abdullah has taken on a huge responsibility for such a young man, and my prayers go out to him to be strong and not to allow this criminal act to disrupt his kingdom or his fine peaceful demeanor,” commented Imperato.

Imperato expressed that during these times of tragedy, we must bind together to make peace and stop these type of atrocities.

“I am sure that justice will be done and believe that this crime will open the eyes of the entire region triggering a mutual respect, and an alliance by and between all societies in the region to ban together and stomp out terrorism and denounce their organizations.”

Presidential Hopeful Imperato comments on India and Recent Terrorist Attacks

November 4, 2005 – West Palm Beach, FL – Today 2008 Presidential Hopeful, Daniel Imperato commented on the recent events in India.

“First of all my condolences go to all of the families affected by this terrible terrorist activity and I give my support for the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, and a special condolence if in fact any of the family members of Rattan Tata family or the Lyla Athide families have been personally affected.”

Imperato, during his 30 years of global business experience, has been involved with many projects in the region.

“I’ve had a great pleasure and honor of doing business in the country of India, and have a lot of respect for the Indian people and their courage for struggling everyday with an environment that was so far behind modern times pertaining to infrastructure and transportation, but still had the courage to fight their way up the ladder and to become recognized as a global player in several industries,” commented Imperato.

Recently, we have seen terrorist attacks of this nature occur in London and Spain, and now India.

“It only goes to show you that the terrorist organizations are spread out all over the world and are reaching out to attack countries with less security infrastructure than the United States of America,” said Imperato.

Due to the strength of India’s telecommunications engineers and software developers, Imperato felt that India should be able to overcome future targeted attacks by utilizing the latest and greatest in security communications and infrastructure.

“I hope one day I have the opportunity to work hand in hand with the Indian government in assisting them with their global vision and desire to become a more economically stable country and of course now, more secure,” expressed Imperato, who has advised governments around the world on many issues including security.

Imperato went on to finish his statement the following remarks, “While doing business in India, I found the people to be some of the most simplistic, peaceful, down-to-earth, caring citizens. I hope and pray that they come through this disaster like a shining star and wish that the people of this wonderful country will not have to experience additional terrorist attacks because I have faith in the Indian Government and companies like the Tata group to come up with measures to protect their citizens.”

The Imperato Peace Plan for Israel and Palestine

The Imperato Peace Plan for Israel and Palestine

Imperato speaks out about Abbas Visit to the White House, and his peace plan for the region.

Today, 2008 White House Hopeful thanked Mahmoud Abbas for reaching out and taking the time to visit the United States and meet with our President George W. Bush, with mutual respect and consideration for the administration and the people of the United States of America.

“I do believe that the Palestinian leader is truly stepping up to try and create a better image for his people and to try to reconcile differences concerning the past leadership,” expressed Imperato, who has stressed the importance of a peaceful resolution in the region.

Imperato called for the PLO Chairman to understand the roots of the problem.

“I would like to point out to Chairman Abbas to have kind consideration for his people and his neighbors and to understand that the roots of these difficulties come from the children and what they are taught.”

Additionally, Imperato called for Abbas to separate himself from terrorist organizations.

“He must completely divorce himself from any terrorist organizations and denounce himself and his people’s associations or support for organizations such Hamas, and Hezbollah. These organizations thrive off of inappropriate activities, money laundering, and profit from the purchase and sale of weapons and the ultimate use of those weapons.”

By further denouncing these groups, Imperato felt that Abbas would establish greater credibility for his organization and further the peace process.

The next step, according to Imperato would be to approach these organizations from the ‘bottom-up’.

“These terrorist organizations are built in similar fashion as a military army, or organization would be setup. These organizations pay their soldiers and students salaries in order for them to work for their organizations or their group as any military does including organizations like Al-Qaeda, and the insurgents. I believe that a massive campaign for recruiting their students, their offices, and their people should be launched. With the power of payment and the guarantee of a monthly salary for a good paying job and for an education, we would have the first and foremost grass-roots program that would be needed from the foundation up in order to begin to effectuate change.”

However, throughout this process, Imperato called on the Arab League again to take a center role.

“I once again call on the Arab League to hold a conference with the leaders of all organizations and all countries to sit down and to treat one another with mutual respect and try to understand what each other is trying to accomplish, for their organizations, their people, but most importantly for their very own children,” stated Imperato.

Imperato then called on Mahmoud Abbas to request a cease-fire and cease-terrorism and open dialogue with Ariel Sharon, the Arab League, and the United States to discuss the real intentions of a Palestinian state.

Analyzing the situation, Imperato pointed to the obvious ties between the media and the terrorist organizations that seek to spread fear amongst the people.

“I believe that these inappropriate organizations are all intertwined with the propaganda in the region to create instability in order to continue the funding of weapons to their organizations from military manufacturing facilities from different powers and different countries around the globe.

Imperato went on to call for a stricter policy in regards to the manufacturing and distribution of weapons and of the movement of monies related to those purchases.

Then Imperato stated that the brute force removal of Israelis from their homes was not necessary for the peace process and Abbas should respect that Israel allowed the Palestinians refuge and concessions, when they could have used military force.

According to Imperato, he felt that in order to establish peace, Israel and Palestine should look towards the United States as a blueprint of democracy.

“I believe the majority of people in Israel including the Palestinians are for peace. So instead of trying to cut up the land, why don’t you consider it a country and why don’t you cut up different states with special designation similar to the 50 states in America. Each state has its own local government, its own religious values, and is allowed to run its own autonomous state under what I would call the United States of Israel.”

Imperato then compared Palestinians land claims to those of American Indians, pointing to the concessions and special permissions that American Indians receive from the US government as opposed to war between the two parties.

He also noted that the American Indians have their own land which they call home, but also have the strength of the United States of America.

“I call on Mahmoud Abbas, and Ariel Sharon to consider the United States of Israel, and to consider establishing states within the greater country for the greater good. Instead of trying to divide the land, keep it united and make peace with your neighbor and get special concessions for the states that would be in and under the United States of Israel. The Palestinian leadership could be setup amongst the individual states with each individual state having the right to have different rules and regulations per state as we do in the United States of America.”

Imperato then suggested that the implementation of Real Estate could play a major role in the region. Instead of the government ceasing property and giving away, Imperato felt that the land should be auctioned off, with each man and woman, regardless of background, Palestinian or Israeli, would have an equal opportunity to buy land wherever they pleased, just as you could in the United States.

“I suggest that the territories that Israel have been able to give up become Palestinian states within the country and that the land is given to each state so that it then can be sold to its citizens,” stated Imperato.

With individual ownership of land, Imperato pointed to property rights and how difficult it would be for the government to take back that land.

He also called for special concessions for development, with financing available for housing in subdivisions and communities.

The next step for Imperato is to meet with Abbas and Sharon to present his plan.

“I would welcome the opportunity to meet with Sharon, and Abbas, to discuss my plan and to try to rally support from the Arab League and the surrounding countries, including all organizations, to beg the difference with them and to try and open their eyes to a peaceful solution, not to an Armageddon.”

Imperato then outlined the poor diplomacy that has taken place in the region.

“The most recent disastrous dialogue between the US, Israel, Syria, and Iran, is uncalled for, disgusting, and this rhetoric must stop. The people of the United States of America and the people of the world need a man of the world to lead the free world and to see clearly a peaceful solution considerate to all parties concerned. I believe that I could be that person. I will leave it up to our administration for the time being, and put it in the hands of the people of the United States to consider supporting me in my efforts for sound, secure, and peaceful resolve to all our global situations that are creating hate, animosity, and are based on negative connotations, including the rhetoric in our own administration.”

Imperato then commented on how the US could demand respect, and ‘force democracy down the mouths’ of foreign countries when our own administration is ‘falling apart’.

This made reference to the recent indictments of White House officials, most notably Dick Cheney’s Vice Presidential Chief of Staff, Scooter Libby.

Imperato felt that Bush was not in a position to be making demands when other countries are seeing the problems here at home.

Imperato concluded his statement with the following remarks, “In my opinion, we may be heading for major disaster and we will not be able to turn back. Remember during Perestroika, our previous president Bill Clinton said that he was surprised at himself to become president of the United States, without any foreign policy experience, as Governor of Arkansas. The roots of some of our problems stemmed from the Clinton administration’s inexperience on foreign policy and the current administration’s inability to change course. Please do not only blame our president and his administration but also put the blame on the past Clinton administration. Remember the embarrassment that that administration brought to our nation, and remember that President Clinton pushed a button that should have never been pushed, and now, here we are.”

Presidential Candidate Imperato Speaks Out for the First Time After Hurricane Wilma

Today, Daniel Imperato issued his first statement in regards to Hurricane Wilma.

“Hurricane Wilma blasted through my living room in my apartment building in West Palm Beach, causing my story building to sway and crack. The chandeliers were swaying, the walls were cracking, and water was seeping in through the hurricane shutters and the window sills,” said Imperato.

Imperato went on to further describe the destruction he experienced as a result of the recent storm.

“I had been without food, water, electricity, and experienced what most people would not understand unless it happened to them. I took the first time out to drive down to Miami, and found gasoline lines miles long, the majority of the telephone polls, both wooden and concrete snapped in half, and chaos on the streets. I am sure that you‘ve all seen this on TV, of course I haven’t because I had no TV until today. There are so many subjects that need to be discussed but to keep it to the point I believe that judgment has been brought upon us; there is more to come and we must prepare ourselves for more disasters.”

Imperato, a veteran of many hurricanes in the South Florida region, commented on his past experiences.

“As the Presidential Hopeful for the people, I come to inform you that I have experienced both hurricanes last year, Gene and Francis. The first hurricane ripped through my living room doors, while I was assisting unfortunate people in my building. The second one did the same. It was a nightmare. For days we had no power, no food; it was like a war zone.”

The response from our administration and FEMA was, according to Imperato, “again, not well-prepared.”

However, Imperato was quick to add that putting all of the blame on President Bush is not fair. He pointed to problems in FEMA that existed before the administration of George W. Bush.

Imperato also commended Florida Governor Jeb Bush, for taking responsibility for the slow response taking some of the weight from FEMA, and the administration of his brother, George W. Bush.

During his statement, Imperato pointed out the differences between his strategy and that of the Bush Administration, but also expressed his support.

“Keeping in mind, that while I disagree with the foreign policy of our president, we must not forget that many of the situations that our country has been brought into have not only been because of this administration, but because of the past administrations that brought us to where we are today. While I would welcome the opportunity to take his seat as the President of the United States of America, I must also say that in times of disaster we must support our neighbors, and our president, and keep in mind that no one wants to see anybody suffer.”

Imperato then went on to outline his plan for dealing with natural disasters. He pointed out that things should have been put in place much sooner than they were pertaining to Wilma, but also that many, himself included, were taken by surprise from the enormous carnage caused by Wilma.

“We must come up with a strategy pertaining to future events of this nature. We need to allocate land and to build disaster proof facilities with storage of food and water so that people can be directed to those facilities across the country.”

“I also believe that there is a solution to the gas problems that could have been much more effective for the citizens, who like myself, waited countless hours in line to get gas. My recommendation to the administration would be to be able to convert gasoline trucks to onsite pumping stations to be able to have automobiles fill their gas tanks directly from roadside gasoline mobile facilities adaptable for public use.”

The Emergency Management Plan outlined by Imperato, included allocating land across the country to build disaster-proof facilities with storage of food and water, as well as utilizing gasoline trucks as on-site pumping stations so that people could fill their tanks directly from the pump.

“I believe that these facilities should be in designated areas across the country in what I would call emergency hotspots alongside or nearby major highways. I believe that these facilities could be federally funded programs. The last thing that I would like to point out is that the elderly people, who are taking a beating for their inability to be able to be as movable as others, must have some type of designated secure structure that houses medical products that may be needed to save lives.”

Though the response from the people and local officials was tremendous, Imperato felt that there were a few sore spots that heightened tensions during this trying time.

“The last point is that our law enforcement agencies should learn how to deal with citizens in a peaceful manner, without using brutality and flexing their muscles for no reason. I personally experienced a brutal policeman that verbally assaulted me for no good reason. Like the situation in Louisiana, I was threatened to be arrested and have my vehicle towed after I waited two hours in line for $25 worth of gas and asked a local policeman a simple question about taking pictures of recovery efforts. He acted like a bully, with a bald head, and 6’2” frame, act as though he was a drill sergeant in a war zone with no rights other than ego.”

Imperato supported reprimanding policemen who utilized excessive force on citizens when situations do not warrant the use of such force. He also called police departments across the country to look into the characters of these types of officers as they might be extending excessive forces beyond the streets and into their homes and families.

Imperato concluded his statement with the following remarks, “Overall, I believe the recovery has gone well, but the storm was an enormous blow to Florida Power and Light. I believe that the electric utility stations must look at more secure methods of protecting their facilities from natural disasters and access to their facilities through higher security and more surrounding physical protection around the facilities. I look forward to announcing my full commitment to participate in the race for the White House in 2008. Thank you, and God Bless.”

White House Hopeful Imperato Pays Respects to Late Civil Rights Leader Rosa Parks

October 31, 2005 – West Palm Beach, FL – Today, with the utmost of respect, Americans paid tribute to Rosa Parks, with more than 30,000 filing silently by her casket in the Capitol Rotunda and a military honor guard saluting one of the most important figures of the American Civil Rights Movement.

“As we look back on the life of Rosa Parks, we are reminded of the great contributions that she made to our nation. She has changed the fabric our nation and made us embody the principles that we strive to achieve: freedom, liberty, equality, and justice for all,” commented Daniel Imperato, a 2008 Presidential Hopeful.

Parks, who died last Monday at 92, was arrested in 1955 for refusing to give up her bus seat to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama, an incident that inspired Martin Luther King and helped touch off the civil rights movement.

“Most importantly, we should not let the vision and the inspiration of Rosa Parks die. There are still many cases of injustice that exist where we can do better as Americans, and human beings,” expressed Imperato.

Parks, a former seamstress, became the first woman to lie in honor in the Rotunda, sharing the tribute bestowed upon Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and other national leaders. President Bush and congressional leaders gathered for a brief ceremony Sunday night, listening as members of Baltimore’s Morgan State University choir sang “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

White House Hopeful Imperato Speaks Out About Rice, Chirac, and Iranian Affairs

Today, 2008 Presidential Hopeful Daniel Imperato spoke out again about the diplomacy needed with Iran. Imperato highlighted US diplomatic blunders with Iran and the needed mutual respect between the two countries.

Imperato went on to say, “Our administration has been waffling with Iranian policy and diplomacy well before the new president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came into office. The administration announced that the new Iranian president had participated in criminal activities many years ago. Then they demanded he stop their potential nuclear program.”
Earlier this summer, the administration came out and issued a statement that Ahmadinejad may have been the wrong person in regards to the crimes they accused him of before.

After last week’s meetings, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the Iranians needed to restore confidence that they are not trying to build a nuclear weapon after talks with French president Jacques Chirac.

The Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, then came out and reaffirmed his country’s nuclear aspirations and the justification for doing so.

“In my opinion, this administration’s diplomacy pertaining to the Middle East is all over the map,” commented Imperato.

The United States, according to Imperato, needed to formulate a more consistent policy towards all Middle East countries.

“First of all, our administration requests democracy in Iraq, with soldiers getting killed, but at the same time allows the people of Israel to be torn from their homes in a barbaric manner. This is hardly what I would call peace. In addition, Condoleezza Rice threatened Syria and Iran pertaining to the Iraqi situation. These countries have been neighbors for 6000 years and our administration must realize that the roots of these countries go deep into the generations and the families of those generations. I have spoken enough for the moment, in order for the administration to recognize the need for peace and unified diplomacy with mutual respect for each other’s neighbors,” stated Imperato.

Imperato then went on to question why the United States was moving closer to Jacques Chirac.

Chirac has always been a critic of the United States, especially under the Bush administration. Most notably, Chirac was one of the staunchest forces against the UN Resolution to enter Iraq, as well as the Coalition of the Willing.

“I stand up to tell the people of the United States of America and the people of the rest of the world, that our administration and our country had a clear disagreement with President Chirac, who did not participate with the coalition, and now suddenly Condoleezza Rice is having discussions with him,” spoke Imperato.

“This is the man who alienated us in the Iraqi situation, and now he has become an important figure in squeezing Iran and warning Tehran that he will support sanctions against Iran alongside of the United States.”

Imperato felt that there was something more going on with Chirac’s intentions for his new diplomatic relations with the United States.

“Our administration, who’s out looking for support for its coalition and still wagging its tail from Chirac called ‘an inappropriate non-diplomatic actions’ that it has taken, is now back in the saddle with the very president [Chirac] who created the confusion and dissention surrounding the coalition from day one,” stated Imperato.

“I say our administration is being setup and I say that Jacques Chirac is sticking his nose in the Iranian situation specifically to create more animosity between the US and Iran, and potentially war, in order to enhance himself and line his own country’s pockets through the potential supply of war components to Iran in the event of a disturbance.”

Imperato then called on President Bush and Secretary of State Rice to ‘open up their eyes’ and discuss Chirac’s true intentions with causing trouble in the region, due to his political and financial interests in the region.

France is a major trading partner with many countries in the Middle East including Iran.

Imperato felt that Chirac now has a desire for revenge against the Bush administration for going forward with the Iraqi situation without him.

“I believe that his revenge is to create instability in the region and his ego desires to squeeze our administration into a forced demand to Iran, which in return will only add more fuel to the fire. I don’t believe that on this particular subject that the French president Jacques Chirac should even be part of the equation, since he decided not to participate with the US on the first problem,” stated Imperato.

Imperato warned our administration of the disaster it may be heading towards and who’s hands that they may be falling into.

Also when 2008 comes around, Imperato worried as to what potential mess he might have to deal with and clean up after the activities that our country is engaging in now.

“I call out for the people of the United States of America and the people for the rest of the world, and our political leaders to stand for peace not war and to try to use the right philosophy and the right language because the power of the tongue is the most powerful part and most dangerous part of our human body,” called Imperato.

“The question that I have for our administration and President Bush himself, is how would you react if a foreign military established a presence on the borders of your ranch, and how would you feel if those very participants who placed that military installation in your backyard continued to be threaten you verbally. Would you stand down and roll over, or protect your interest?”

For this reason, Imperato stressed the need for ‘mutual respect, understanding, wisdom, [and] patience’ with the United States and the Middle East, without the demands of France.

After making such strong assertions, Imperato went on to finish his statement as follows: “I have mentioned it in the past and I will mention it again, the dangerous games that are being played in that region are clearly the makings of an Armageddon. Those who are responsible and are taking apart in this egotistical, devilish, and arrogant vocal communication will pay the price, but the problem is that the whole world and its people will suffer. I say cease fire. Peace not War. We need bilateral discussions without twisted tongues and a commitment from the leaders of these countries for peaceful resolve in a democratic manner, with freedom for all.”

Presidential Hopeful from Boston, Massachusetts Speaks Out About Buckling Dam

October 18, 2005 – West Palm Beach, FL – After police closed off the city of Taunton earlier today, 2008 Presidential Hopeful spoke out regarding the bulging Whittendon Pond Dam.

“My heart goes out to the people of Massachusetts, particularly those in Taunton and the surrounding areas, that are most likely nerve wracking themselves with concerns about the Whittendon Pond dam. I hope and pray as a born Bostonian and a native to the area that the dam will withhold the flash flooding,” expressed Imperato.

Daniel Imperato is native of Revere, Massachusetts, and grew up on Boston’s west-side. Currently, Imperato has formed his own presidential exploratory committee to evaluate a possible run at the White House in 2008.

Officials have stated that the 100-year-old Whittendon Pond dam may bulge within the next 24-48 hours. As a precaution, Police have evacuated 2,000 people from their homes.

“Governor Romney will have his hands full in the event of this disaster. I strongly recommend protecting my people from the Massachusetts area to prepare immediately for any such disaster and to mobilize proper and efficient assistance vehicles and supplies in order to act immediately on sheltering the nearby neighborhood,” said Imperato.

Governor Mitt Romney has declared a state of emergency in Taunton and has estimated damages in excess of $6.5 million to the area after a week long of rain and flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood advisory that said the situation was “extremely dangerous” and “life threatening.” Officials have created an emergency shelter for those who had evacuated their homes.

Imperato later pointed out that this situation further illustrates that we will have many such disasters here and around the world and we should be prepared on all levels with detailed contingency plans in case of these types of disasters.

Imperato finished his statement with the following remarks, “With the most active disaster season in hand, I send my support to Governor Mitt Romney, Mayor Robert Nunes, and the citizens of Taunton MA and surrounding areas. I also ask everyone to hope and pray that this potential disaster does not come to pass.”

Imperato Comments on CNN’s Christine Amanpour, Syria, and Condolences for the Syrian Interior Minister and His family

West Palm Beach, Fl – October 14, 2005 – Today Daniel Imperato, 2008 Presidential Hopeful, issued a statement in regards to Syria and the recent death of the Syrian Interior Minister.

“My condolences go out to the family of Syrian Interior Minister Ghazi Kanaan. Regardless of the situation at hand no one deserves to be put through the grief of losing a loved one,” spoke Imperato, “Obviously there is more behind the scenes than it is to be seen.”

On another note, Imperato pointed out that the content from his previous press releases have caught the attention of American media, in particular CNN.

“My congratulations and thanks to one of my most favorite CNN correspondents Christine Amanpour who I believe has answered my message pertaining to my September 23, 2005 press release about the subject matter of President Al-Assad, his borders, his sincerity and commitment to peace,” pointed out Imperato.

“During the interview between President Al-Assad and Christine Amanpour, Al-Assad clearly showed his peaceful posture and willingness to participate in the peace process. This reassures the contents of my press release of September 23, 2005 pertaining to my high regard for President Al-Assad, the young man who inherited the throne from his father and obviously realizes that he has big shoes to fill.”

Imperato went on to urge the Bush administration and the people of the United States of America to reconsider the plans of action pertaining to Syria and the threat of military action or sanctions against President Al-Assad and his country.

“It sickens me to think that our administration may be planning a coup to replace President Al-Assad when they should be embracing him and assisting him with his huge responsibility of controlling his country and diplomatically handling what I feel is the difference between the old world Damascus and the new world society,” stated Imperato.

According to Imperato’s vision Syria is of key importance to the giant puzzle that is the Middle East peace process.

“This country [Syria] and its young leader President Al-Assad in my opinion has the political key to prevent the major catastrophic war that could break out in the region,” expressed Imperato.

“If and when I have the chance to represent the people of the United States of America and the rest of the world I would say peace not war. I would say to Saddam Hussein, repent and support peace in Iraq. I would consider embracing the new Iranian leader and dealing with him with honey instead of sour cream. As for President Bashar Al-Assad of Syria I would embrace him like I would embrace my son and I would ask for his cooperation with his fine line of peace, or else we face an Armageddon scenario which could in effect become reality. We need Syria, and we need peace.”

Imperato continuing in his message for universal peace appealed to the recent religious holidays.

“With yesterday’s Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, on the 10th day of the seventh month and currently being in the month and the 10th day of Ramadan, we are reminded that our faiths call for peace, reconciliation, and forgiveness for your neighbor. If and when I have the chance to represent the United States of America I call for a cease fire and a meeting between the leaders of Israel, Palestine, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and a representative from the Arab league alongside of my administration. With God’s will I will have a chance to organize this collaboration in the region to be able to speak out and prove that it’s all about peace and not war,” said Imperato.

“With God’s will, I will have the chance to organize this collaboration in the region and be able to speak out and prove that its all about peace, not war, and that our administration and the political leaders in the region must set aside their personal agendas before we reach an Armageddon.”

Imperato finished his statement with the following remarks, “As a born Catholic, spirit-filled Christian, Torah-keeper, with knowledge of the Koran, I stand for peace, and I ask the world to stop labeling Catholic, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, and to begin labeling the people as human beings, and to reestablish mutual beneficial respect for what I believe is everybody’s wishes and desires to live and worship peacefully and freely. We should not hold on to learned hate that families have passed on from generation to generation. We must all understand that we live in one world and through our faiths and principles strive for peace, harmony, love, and consideration. We need all to realize that without that philosophy we can never think of a peaceful outcome whether its on the borders of Mexico and the United States or the borders of Iraq and Syria, or anywhere else in the world. I once again call out to the leaders to place them in the position for supporting peace.”

Presidential Hopeful Imperato Comments on Pakistan, India, and the Earthquake

October 12, 2005 – West Palm Beach, FL – Today, White House Hopeful sent his condolences to the countries and the people of Pakistan and India who have been affected by the recent earthquake.

Imperato also felt the need to voice his support for Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.

“A special support goes out to President Musharraf of Pakistan, knowing that if I was in the position of representing the United States of America and its people that I would offer my assistance in dealing with this disaster,” expressed Imperato.

Around 20,000 people were killed and many more thousands rendered homeless in the devastating earthquake that shattered Pakistan and northern parts of India. However, beyond the numbers, this disaster hit Imperato on a personal level.

“My personal message to the country of Pakistan and its people is request to inform me if my dear friends in Islamabad are still with us. I am unable to reach Mr. Rafik Siagol, ex-chairman of Pakistan Airways, and my very personal friend, Mohammad Shaifi responsible for PTC&L which is Pakistan telecommunications. These two people are great and personal friends of mine and if anyone could assist me in reaching out to them it would be greatly appreciated,” said Imperato.

Many people, just like Imperato, have been unable to reach friends, colleagues, and family members.

This earthquake has been described as Pakistan’s greatest natural disaster, due to its size and impact on the region, especially in the city of Islamabad.

“I am personally saddened by the destruction of Islamabad particularly because it was such a serene setting with the makings of a sophisticated city in the middle of the old world transportation system, restaurants, and food markets with the majority of the dress code being typical Pakistani fashion with old world flair,” commented Imperato.

Imperato went on to refer to the Pakistani people as being “warm-hearted” and “respectful” members of our global society.

Additionally Imperato sent his prayers and wishes to Islamabad and all the other affected areas for a speedy recovery.

“I pray that Islamabad and the rest of the affected area will recover and my particular notice of the children in the collapsed school just breaks my heart,” spoke Imperato.

Imperato went on to finish his statement with the following remarks: “I ask the world to pray to save as many lives as possible and particularly hope that my friends are still with us. I welcome the opportunity to return to Islamabad and hope it will be with the authority of the Commander-in-Chief of the United States and its people, with a leadership role of the free world, showing compassion and mutual respect for all of the people on earth.”
