Woman Kills Husband By Lacing His Favorite Treat

A jury recently found Rebecca Payne guilty of murdering her husband, 68-year-old Noel Payne, in Walpeup, a small town in the northwest of Victoria, Australia.

Rebecca is accused of baking lemon cookies and lacing one with sleeping pills that she gave to her husband, Noel.

Tracey Payne, Noel’s daughter, said she was “devastated” when she heard the news. From the outside, the Payne family appeared to be a normal family, but those close to them said that their marriage was anything but happy.

Noel and Rebecca met when Rebecca lived next to Tracey in Gorokan, New South Wales. According to reports, Noel physically beat Rebecca.

In court, prosecutors argued that Rebecca had wanted to end her marriage – she had had enough of being beaten and was angry about another woman living in their home.

When testifying, Rebecca admitted that she had dreamt of drugging her husband for months, and on the night of September 1, 2020, she laced a cookie with sleeping pills and served it to him with a cup of Milo.

Noel never woke up, and when Rebecca found him with no pulse, she did not call an ambulance or try to resuscitate him – instead, she wrapped his body in a blanket and tied it with duct tape, putting it in a chest freezer and strapping the door shut.

Rebecca was eventually arrested and convicted of murder, although it was unclear whether Noel had died from a drug overdose or suffocation.

Horrific Car Crash Ejects and Kills 6 Girls

On Sunday evening, six young girls were tragically killed after a severe accident occurred on a Tennessee freeway.

According to responders, a red Toyota Camry with two adults and six kids veered off Interstate 24 West in Robertson County at around 2 in the morning and hit a shoulder barrier.

This caused the car to flip, ejecting the kids and the woman as it rolled, as reported by WSMV.

The children were declared dead at the scene, while the woman was taken by air to a nearby medical facility. The man was taken to another hospital. His condition remains unknown.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is still attempting to determine the cause of the crash and the identities of the victims.

Man Stabbed to Death in Front of Wife and Toddler at Local Starbucks

On Sunday evening, a tragic incident occurred at a Starbucks in Vancouver, Canada. Paul Stanley Schmidt, 37, was fatally stabbed by Inderdeep Singh Gosal, 32, who was taken into custody at the scene and charged with second-degree murder.

The brutal attack occurred at the corner of Granville and West Pender streets at 5:40 p.m. According to police, there was an altercation of some kind shortly before the attack. But the motive is still unknown.

Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward as they are trying to understand what happened prior to the incident. According to court documents, this is Gosal’s first and only criminal charge.

Paul’s mother, Kathy, explained that her son was at the Starbucks with his wife and daughter when the attack occurred and stated, “Paul lived for his wife and his daughter, that was his whole life.” She added that the suspect “has ruined so many lives.”

A witness described the scene as a traumatic experience and said the Starbucks was filled with screams as the suspect returned to the store after the stabbing.

Starbucks spokesperson Leanna Rizzi expressed her condolences and said, “this is a tragic situation, and our hearts are with all those involved and affected by this incident.”

The attack had been caught on video. However, the family has asked that the footage not be circulated around the web.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family during this tragic time.
