Breaking News: Tony Blair Resigns and Receives Strong Support from Third Party US Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato

West Palm Beach, Fl – May 10, 2007 – Admist the stunning news that Tony Blair has announced his resignation as the Prime Minister of Great Britain, the Mr. Blair has received strong support from fellow third party member Daniel Imperato.

“Tony Blair is a man of great courage, dignity, and wisdom. He has served the people with honor, respect, and integrity. It is because of his leadership Britain has maintained its role around the world.”

Blair and England has been widely regarded as the chief ally of the Bush administration in Washington and has supported Bush on key diplomatic issues such as the War on Terror and Nuclear Disarmament ( North Korea and Iran).

“Today is a sad day because we saw one of our brothers, Prime Minister Tony Blair, signal the end of a great era. Although we look forward to working with the next leader of Great Britain, Tony Blair was a man who stood with America. He is someone that embodied American ideals and principles, and stood up for them, no matter how unpopular those principles were. For that Prime Minister Blair has my respect and the respect of the American people.”

Blair first took as England’s Prime Minister in 1997 as he lead a movement known as “The Third Way” by adding the Labor Party to the British Political scene that has been dominated by Conservatives and Liberals.

“Tony Blair took office in a time of uncertainty for England. They had been a half a decade removed from Margaret Thatcher, and the current leadership of the conservative party was not the way to go for England. Tony Blair was more than a leader for England. He was a movement. He helped England transform itself into the 21 st Century as Europe’s strongest economy with low inflation, high employment, and technological sophistication,” stated Imperato.

Imperato also felt that America may be in the same state that England was in 10 years ago when Tony Blair first came into office.

“Instead of Margaret Thatcher, America is romanticizing Ronald Reagan as our last great leader. America has grown weary of the leadership of the Democrats and Republicans. We are a country that is proud of our American tradition of freedom, liberty, and justice. But we are unsure of our future and how our government will take shape under our next leadership. Like our brother England was 10 years ago, America is ready for a third way,” stated Imperato.

As Imperato moves on in his own personal mission for America, he appealed to Tony Blair for his counsel and support.

“As I embark on my mission to make a third way for America, I ask Tony Blair for his counsel and support. He knows what it is like to bring a third party to a country and make it viable. I hope that I can draw his experience to help the American people as we prepare for 2008 and America ‘s Third Way.”

Imperato sends Condolences for Kansas Tornado Victims

West Palm Beach, FL – May 7, 2007 – While driving from Jefferson City, MO to St. Louis to catch a flight, 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato learned of the recent tragedies in Kansas.

“First of all, my deepest condolences go out to those affected and the families of those affected from the devastating tornados this weekend in Kansas,” stated Imperato.

Over the weekend, an F-5 tornado ripped through Greensburg, Kansas, the most powerful tornado possible.

The Kansas Emergency Management Agency confirmed the weekend storms that whipped through the state claimed at least 11 victims.

“I want all of the victims and their families, to know that they are in my hearts and in my prayers. I hope that all those affected now feel the power of the support and prayers from Americans around the country.”

The National Weather Service says the tornado that leveled 95% of Greensburg cut a 22-mile track, 1.7 miles wide. Its winds were clocked at about 205 miles per hour.

“My message to the people of Greenburg is to stay strong. America will be there to help rebuild your homes, your businesses, and your city.”

Imperato also felt that the government now has an opportunity to show how much it has learned since America’s last great natural disaster, Hurricane Katrina.

“Now is the time for our government to step up. They should have learned their lessons from Katrina and should now have the experience to effectively manage this situation.”
The last tornado of this magnitude was the Oklahoma City F-5 Tornado of May 3, 1999, which claimed 36 lives.

Imperato in Washington Times Libertarian Convention Coverage

THE WASHINGTON TIMES
March 19, 2007

(Selections from original article)
ORLANDO, Fla. — …More than 100 Libertarian officials and activists attended the three-day event at the Orlando International Airport Hotel and Conference Center that included a Friday meeting of the party’s national committee and a Saturday presentation by longtime conservative organizer Richard Viguerie.

“Whenever conservatives are unhappy, bad things happen for the Republican Party,” said Mr. Viguerie, author of “Conservatives Betrayed: How the Republican Party Hijacked the Conservative Cause.” …

During Saturday’s luncheon, Libertarian Party National Chairman Bill Redpath discussed ways that the party could overcome such problems as ballot access and fundraising.

“The problem is that we are a minority party in a winner-take-all voting system,” said Mr. Redpath, urging party activists to support “electoral reform” aimed at creating a system of proportional representation.

“We have to put our best faces forward in winnable races,” said Shane Cory, who became executive director of the Libertarian Party last year. He emphasized the need to “build from the bottom up” by winning office at the state and local level, and agreed with Mr. Viguerie’s stress on issue-oriented activism. “We need to diversify and be able to address a broad range of issues,” Mr. Cory said.

A Saturday-evening banquet featured a debate among five candidates for the 2008 Libertarian presidential nomination: Las Vegas oddsmaker Wayne Allyn Root, Florida businessman Daniel Imperato, Internet entrepreneur Mike Jingozian of Oregon, physics professor George Phillies of Massachusetts, and retired businessman Alben Link of New York.
Attendance at the conference was “slightly higher” than usual for an event in a non-election year, said Libertarian Party Political Director Stephen Gordon.

Imperato to Speak at National Libertarian Conference in Orlando

Orlando, Fl – March 15, 2007 – Today, Daniel Imperato announced that he will be attending and speaking at the National Libertarian State Leadership Alliance (LSLA) Conference in Orlando this Friday and Saturday March 16-17 at the Orlando International Airport Conference Center.

“First of all, I want to thank the leadership of the Libertarian Party for inviting me to this conference. I believe that it is important that we open the dialogue amongst all third parties. The Libertarians have a very strong national organization and can be very influential in a national third party push,” stated Imperato.

The Libertarian Party, one of America’s largest third parties, currently has ballot access in 26 states throughout the United States of America.

The Libertarian National Committee (LNC) will also be meeting during this weekend to discuss key issues for the Libertarian Party, such as national platforms, ballot access, and their upcoming LP 2008 National Nominating Convention.

Imperato has previously reached out for the Reform Party as well, and is calling out for all third parties to unite for the upcoming 2008 election.

“America needs a third option. For too long, the Democrats and Republicans have held a monopoly on our political system. Now, the third parties of America must stand up, unite, and make their way into a system that is trying to keep them out. We, the people, are the government, not the Democrats and Republicans. It’s time that the people of America realize that, and its time that we put our collective forces together to make for a Better America.”

CFIUS Reform Finally Recognizes Telecommunications Security

New York – March 13, 2007 – Today, 2008 Presidential Candidate, Daniel Imperato commented on the recent CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) Reform that was passed by the United States House of Representatives.

“First of all, I am happy to see the United States Congress stopped the political infighting for a moment in order to address a serious concern. The committee on Foreign Investment has now become very important to the national security and business viability of the United States of America. In determining the best course of action, we must safeguard our national security, while encouraging foreign investment to help boost our economy,” stated Imperato.

CFIUS came under fire recently, after the Dubai Ports deal, that was approved and then reversed, and the recent French-owned Alacatel’s merger with Lucent Technologies, a major US telecommunications equipment company.

The new House legislation calls for more ‘mitigation agreements’ or national security guarantees from foreign investors, and insisting on fines for any breach of national security.

For instance if French-owned Alcatel fails to live up to their national security obligations, CFIUS could reverse the deal with Lucent Technologies.

“America must protect its telecommunications infrastructure as part of its national security requirements. With domestic wiretapping, and personal privacy such a major concern for this country, it is important that there are safeguards to protect Americans. The United States needs to do whatever it can to secure our telecommunications system in the US, a system that is not secure, and the US needs to advance its own investment into telecommunications equipment and technology so that US can once again become the dominant leader in the field,” stated Imperato.

In addition, Imperato was quick to point out that CFIUS must also use strict criteria to determine which mergers and business transactions pose a major threat to national security.

“Our telecommunications infrastructure, and knowledge of the internal US communications backbone, is highly sensitive information that definitely has national security concerns. Approving a ports contract from a British company to a Dubai company may not have the same concerns. With US oversight, US workers, and US government provisions, an agreement, in my opinion, could have been reached. ”

Imperato suggested that by setting clear criteria as to what constitutes national security interests, the United States can help attract foreign investment rather than scare foreign investors away.

“The reality is that we live in a global society. US investors invest around the world, and global investors invest in the United States . Global Investment money is very important to our economy, and we must do all that we can as nation to scrutinize foreign investment, not scare it away. The international community can play a very important role in our economy , and it would be beneficial to the United States if we can improve our balance of trade.”

Imperato concluded his statements with the following, “As a nation, we depend on our leaders to protect our interests. Our leaders are supposed to understand these complex issues and make educated judgments. Many times this is not the case. That is why I feel that I must offer myself to the American people. I have hands-on experience in the Foreign Investment arena, as well as in telecommunications and other national security industries. I understand the technology and the strategic issues at play. America deserves someone that can help protect America and help it grow economically. I stand up to tell America that I am that person, and I would be humbled to have the opportunity to serve you as your next president in 2008.”
